Garuda Cotex Shades, Ltd. specializes in producing dyed yarn lots from grey cotton yarn sourced from the U.S., Australia, Switzerland and India for garment production in some of the most famous apparel company brands in the world. Headquartered in Mumbai, India and situated in the commercial district of Fort, the company is in close proximity to most of its customers (garment exporters) in Mumbai or Vapi.

Garuda Cotex Shades utilizes a modern laboratory that is equipped for testing various parameters of grey yarn before it is accepted for the dyeing process. The yarn is tested extensively for color fastness, washing, staining and wet rub properties. Once accepted, the grey yarn goes through a rigorous process, monitored by computer controlled yarn dyeing machines. After the dyed yarn is processed, each lot is tested for uniformity and consistency. One of the tests includes the manufacturing of socks (footwear) from each dyed yarn lot to confirm the necessary quality parameters are in place.

Garuda Cotex Shades supplies the finished dyed yarn to the exporters of Readymade Garments whose customers are big chain stores in Europe, U.S. and Canada. Some of the clients' customers are stores such as J.C. Penny, Wal-Mart and Tommy Hilfiger.
